Rise Up Basketball is dedicated to developing young athletes through high-quality training, competitive leagues, and skill-building programs. Our mission is to provide a positive and motivating environment where players of all skill levels can grow both on and off the court. With expert coaching and structured programs, we help athletes improve their game while fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence. We offer year-round clinics, after-school training, and seasonal leagues to support player development at every stage.
At Rise Up Basketball, we believe in empowering the next generation of athletes to reach their full potential.
OUR COACHES
Coach Corye Payton
Corye played high school basketball at Burlington township, where he had the honor of representing South Jersey in the Allstate All-Star game. He continued his career at Wilmington University where he earned first team all-conference honors and led the conference in scoring during his senior season. After college, Corye had the opportunity to play professional basketball internationally for six seasons competing in the top League of countries such as Slovakia, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait where he received all League honors. Outside of his involvement with Rise Up, Corye operates a player development program "The Longshot".
Coach Dale Olin
Dale was the starting point guard for Vineland High School and went on to play for Johnson& Wales University. After graduating, Dale acquired more than 17 years of coaching experience, including Pineland's Athletic Association, Medford Lakes Athletic Association JKMBA, Tim Legler camps, 76ers camps and is the owner of Maximum Skills Basketball. Dale has coached 30 teams to AAU championships. As a trainer, Dale has worked with dozens of players who went on to play college basketball, and has helped several hundred kids make their high school basketball team.
Coach Brian Sheehan
Brian played under the legendary coach Roy Heck at Cinnaminson High School. Brian went on to hold various coaching positions in Pennsauken Youth Athletic Association and Maximum Skills Basketball. Brian is currently the varsity head coach for Resurrection Parish's CYO basketball team. Brian started Rise Up Basketball in order to provide an affordable and high quality basketball program for Burlington County.
Coach Aaron Smitherman
Aaron played basketball at Burlington city high school. His senior year he was selected to play in the Burlington County All-Star game, where he won the dunk contest. Aaron continued his collegiate career at Mercer County college, winning a regional championship.
